Course of the session
A maderotherapy session begins with a brief assessment of the targeted areas , in order to adapt the techniques to the client's needs.
- Application of a natural draining oil to the skin to facilitate movement and prepare the tissues.
- Use of specially designed wooden tools (rollers, suction cups, sculpting mushrooms, etc.) to deeply massage the areas to be treated.
- Repetitive and targeted movements are performed to:
- Stimulate blood and lymphatic circulation
- Dislodge fatty deposits
- Tone and firm tissues
The session ends with soothing maneuvers , promoting the elimination of toxins and an immediate feeling of lightness .
The treatment can last from 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the package chosen and the areas of the body worked on .

Duration :
The duration of the session varies depending on the client's condition (skin type, type of cellulite, level of congestion) as well as their objectives:
• 60 minutes: 1 to 2 zones
• 90 minutes: 2 to 3 zones

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Serious circulatory problems :
People with heart problems , phlebitis , significant varicose veins or circulatory disorders should avoid this technique, as it can aggravate these conditions.
Pregnancy :
Maderotherapy is not recommended during pregnancy , especially in the abdominal area, as it could affect blood and lymphatic circulation.
Irritated or damaged skin :
It is not recommended to practice maderotherapy on skin that has irritations , burns , open wounds or infections . The technique could aggravate these problems.
Certain skin pathologies :
People with serious skin problems (eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis) should avoid maderotherapy, except on medical advice.
Cancer :
People with cancer or undergoing oncology treatment should consult their doctor before practicing maderotherapy, as some types of massage can excessively stimulate circulation.
Venous thrombosis :
People with thrombosis (blood clots) should avoid this technique to avoid the risk of clots moving.
High blood pressure :
People with uncontrolled hypertension should avoid maderotherapy, as it can affect blood circulation.

Hydration :

WHAT TO DO AFTER THE SESSION
Hydration:
- Drink plenty of water after the session to eliminate toxins released during the massage and promote lymphatic drainage.
Avoid sun exposure:
- Avoid direct sun exposure for 24 hours after the session, as the skin may be more sensitive.
Follow-up with a skincare routine:
It is advisable to follow a home care routine, for example by applying firming or anti-cellulite creams to maintain the benefits of maderotherapy.
